Synopsis:

After being separated from their twins during a shipwreck, Antipholus and his servant Dromio leave their home in Syracusea (Syracuse) and travel to the city of Ephesus (New York City) to find them. The other set of twins, who incidentally have the same names, are unsuspecting that their twin brothers even exist. When the travelers arrive in the big city, a series of incidents and mistaken identities cause growing confusion. Hilarity ensues as the wife of Antipholus of Ephesus (Adriana) and her sister (Luciana) confuse her husband and brother-in-law for the other fellow. Also, when a goldsmith and several merchants are owed money for their services, the wrong servant and master are accused of owning the money. Will the true identity of the twins be revealed? Will they be reunited with their long-lost father and mother? You'll have to join us to find out.

About LCSD Arts Program

At LCSD, we are proud to offer a robust and dynamic arts program that nurtures creativity and talent across all grade levels. Our commitment to the arts is evident in the exceptional achievements and opportunities we provide for our students, from music and theater to visual arts.

Students in grades 4-12 participate in NCMEA All-County ensembles, and students in grades 7-12 participate in NYSSMA All-State ensembles. The high school music program has garnered impressive accolades, with the Concert Choir and Vocal Jazz Ensemble earning “Level Six Gold with Distinction” ratings at the NYSSMA Majors, and the Mixed Chorus winning first place at the Darien Lake Music Fest, a historic achievement for the school. Additionally, four singers, one instrumentalist, and one alternate were accepted into Conference All-State ensembles, setting a new record for Lockport.

Our high school's production of "Beauty and the Beast" sold out all three shows, a milestone not achieved since 2012, and across the district, 412 students from grades four through twelve participated in seven musicals throughout the year.

The annual district-wide art show, held on April 25, 2024, showcased hundreds of artworks from students in grades K-12 at the LHS Art Gallery, highlighting the incredible talent within our district.

Furthermore, Debbie Hutter, a valued member of our arts faculty, received the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra/NCMEA Award for Excellence in Music Education at Kleinhans Music Hall, recognizing her outstanding contributions to music education.
